I have very dry skin. I struggle with this, I really try to use products and keep trying to find just the right products for my skin type. I want to make sure that my face is clean, hydrated and properly moisturized. I am also afraid of getting wrinkles, I know I am still young, but I am aware of the fact that the better you treat yourself (in this case your skin) when you are young, the better you will look when you are older. I still stand by my coconut oil, I believe that it is a truly gift from above.
Back to the story. My family lives far from me and we get to see each other about twice a year. Back in December, when I visited my family, my mother received a gift with a bunch of samples (mini products) from her boss. I, of course, got intrigued. My mother doesn’t use make-up, she never did, except for lipstick and also, uses a specific band of face cream, prescribed from her dermatologist.
So, fortunately for me, I got to enjoy the gift. It contained 10 items. I am going to talk about one in particular now. The make-up remover! I always struggle with removing my make-up. If there is something you must absolutely never do, is sleeping with your make-up on. Not even when taking a nap, because when you sleep, the skin regenerates and by having make-up on your face, it gets in the way of that process. So you end up with clogged pores, pimples, wrinkles (in time), dilated pores and so on. There are nights when I am really lazy and I just use make-up remover wipes. But I feel that they are not good for my skin. In fact, I know that they are not good for my skin! You must use them pretty rarely and always use a face cleanser after and then, rinse. Other times, I use just micellar water, that I still have in my skin routine. As I said, trying to find the best products for me, I keep trying new ones.
About Nuxe. I was at my parents’ house and I remember having make-up remover wipes, which I own, but I try to use not very often and micellar water. So, I found in the gift box, the little bottle containing the make-up removing gel. I tried it the first night. I read the instructions. It’s for dry and sensitive skin. You must avoid the eye area, so on my eyes, I used the micellar water first with a cotton pad. Then, I wet all my face a little bit and applied the face cleansing and make-up removing gel. To be precise, it’s called
NUXE reve de miel, Face cleansing and make-up removing gel with honey and sunflower.
I used circular motions and I kind of gave my face a massage. You know that it’s one of the best things you can do to your face, giving it a gentle massage. I began seeing my foundation getting blended with the gel. Then I rinse it. My skin felt very nice, very smooth and not dry at all (giving that I have this problem). I wondered if it worked. So I put a little bit of micellar water on a cotton pad, wiped it gently on my entire face and the pad was clean!
I was surprised that it worked and I used two pumps. I like the fact that it doesn’t get very messy, I had problems with this kind of products that got in my hair or having to use a lot in order to remove my make-up. The smell is very subtle, I like it, it’s a little like honey. It is paraben-free, it contains 93% ingredients of natural origin. It has a little pump that makes it’s use easier. I really like it! I don’t have to say that I bought the full product! It has 200 ml and I am curious how long it will last me, because the small package (15 ml) lasted about 2 weeks. I will get back on it, to tell you.
So I integrated this product into my nighttime routine. I remove my eye make-up, by pressing gently a cotton pad with micellar water on each eye(not rubbing!). Then, massage my face with the make-up removing gel, rinse my face, use a soft peeling gel (from Lioele), toner and moisturizer. As a conclusion, I really enjoy this new found product, I think it makes it easier and it’s not time consuming. Tell me if you tried it and what you think about it!
